Car:
Paris to Clermont-Ferrand or Toulouse, then follow signs for Barcelona. Take the A9 south to just north of Perignan, then take exit 41 Perpignan-centre. Follow the signs for Canet-Le Barcares. An excellent on-line route planner can be found at ViaMichelin or Mappy.

Bus:
the Eurolines bus leaves from various points in Europe and travels to Spain by way of Perpignan.

Air travel:
Perpignan has an international airport, 'Aeroport International de Rivesaltes'. 1.5 hours to Paris.

Ryanair flies (inexpensively) from London Stansted or Luton, from Charleroi (Belgium) and Dusseldorf (Germany) to Perpignan and/or Girona (75 minutes by car from Perpignan). At both Perpignan and Girona airports you can rent a car. Discounts can often be obtained by reserving the car at the moment you book your flight.
